The North West 200 has now gone virtual with the launch of a brand new Sony PlayStation® 2 game – TT Superbikes Real Road Racing Championship. The fast-moving game entered the UK PlayStation® 2 charts at number six and is proving so popular with bike fans that local stores are having to regularly replenish their stocks.
The game features seven accurately recreated circuits including local courses - the Kennedy International North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix together with the Isle of Man TT, Oliver’s Mount, Macau GP, Aberdare Park and the Southern 100.
Created by Jester Interactive the game boasts a huge choice of the latest racing machinery, including superbikes, superstock and supersport machinery, 250s and 125s, plus sidecars as well as many of the leading road racers including John McGuinness, Guy Martin, Bruce Anstey and Ian Lougher.
Clerk of Course Mervyn Whyte said he was delighted with customer response to the PlayStation® 2 TT Superbikes game, “This is great news for NW200 race organisers. It will help promote the event world-wide as Jester Interactive plan to go global. We’re also pleased that the Superbikes game is likely to be launched in a PlayStation® 3 format in the near future.”
TT Superbikes Real Road Racing Championship is available from Game, Xtravision and independent retailers throughout the UK and Ireland priced £24.99. As a teaser a special lap of the game is also featured on You Tube. |
