Great Britain failed in their bid to reach the World Cup final at the first attempt after coming third in their semi-final at Brandon on Monday.

GB could not make home advantage count, with Denmark and Sweden finishing ahead of them.

British rider Lee Richardson told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "We were woeful, it wasn't one or two of us it was all five of us.

"We should have performed better, especially in front of our home crowd."

Jim Lynch's side will go into a race-off with Sweden, Poland and Russia on Thursday to compete for the remaining two places alongside Denmark and Australia in Saturday's final.
