With World Superbikes racing in USA, at the Miller Motorsports Park race track next, the Supersport teams get some time off and, for Team HANNspree Stiggy Motorsport Honda, it is perfect timing for a well appreciated break. Joshua Brookes went back to Australia, after the last race in Monza, and spent some time seeing friends and family. But his main focus has been training and staying fit during the four week long break. He has been jet-skiing and cycling with friends, as well as riding his motocross bike. He returns to Europe at the end of next week, and will have some time to get used to the time difference before driving his motor-home from England to Germany for the next race in Nurburgring. Robbin Harms has been in his hometown of Copenhagen. He has been working out, training in the gym, riding his motocross bike and also spending time with family and friends. When he wasnt in the gym or at the motorcross track, he spent his time in his garage fixing up his new car, a 1966 Mustang Fastback. Last week he attended a Honda event in Sweden, playing the role of ambassador for Honda and the team. The team have been back in the workshop and have been concentrating on the renovation and maintenance of the engines, plus a lot of preparation and development of the bikes including many hours of dyno work. These weeks have been of great importance as the team will not be back in the workshop again for quite some time. The team will have three races and one test beforecomingback to base again. Hopefully the team will be well prepared for the races to come. Johan Stigefelt (Team manager) "We are working hard to stay on top of things. It has been great to have some time off away from the races as we have been able to do a lot of technical work that had to be done. Maintenance and development has been the main focus for us. Especially as the team will be on the road in Europe for the next few races and not going back to Sweden after every round. These preparations have been extra important for us. The riders have been working on their physical condition and Josh, who got to spend some time back home training and seeing his family, is hopefully in a good spirit. We are as ready as we can be for the next part of the season and Im sure it will be a success." |
